The Huawei Y8P comes in as an upgrade to the previously released Huawei Y7P. It features an improved display, RAM, storage, cameras, and lots more. The Huawei Y8P also happens to be a replica of the Huawei Enjoy 10s, as they share similar hardware and design.
The Design and Display
The design department on this Huawei Y8P holds a very familiar package. It looks exactly like the Huawei Enjoy 10s, only with different color variants.

Aside from being a Huawei Enjoy 10s look-alike, this smartphone also follows a certain design theme, that we have seen on smartphones like the Huawei P40 Lite New Edition and the Huawei Y9S

Upfront of the Huawei Y8P, you will find a 6.3-inch OLED display, with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a screen density of 418 PPI. This display is also home to a drop notch which houses a front-facing camera.

On the rear, we have an array of three cameras, a camera flash, and the Huawei branding which indicates it a Huawei smartphone

The Cameras

The Huawei Y8P features a camera setup that has somehow grown to become popular amongst many smartphones in this category. For starters, you have got a triple camera setup on the rear and a single camera setup upfront.

The triple camera system on the Huawei Y8P is home to a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth camera. This camera setup is capable of recording 1080p and 720p videos, you also get HDR and Panorama mode for photos.

Selfies are manned by a single 16MP front-facing camera, which is also capable of 1080p video record as well as HDR mode for photos.

Hardware and Software

Performance on the Huawei Y8P is driven by an Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710F processor, a Mali-G51 MP4 graphics processing unit, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and a non-removable 4000mAh Li-Po battery.

On the software side, this Android smartphone runs the EMUI 10.1 on top of the Android 10.0 operating system.

Please note that you won’t be getting Google Play services here, due to the current trade sanctions placed on Chinese companies by the American government.

Connectivity

The Huawei Y8P houses a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type C port. It also features Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC connection.

Internet connectivity on the Huawei Y8P is capped at 4G LTE. The absence of 5G support on this smartphone means streaming, downloads, and uploads are restricted to 4G speeds.
